Spanning vastly different corners of the globe, these six images share a unifying thread: they bear witness to the wildlife and landscapes from some of our planet’s pristine, yet fragile ecosystems. From the Arctic fjords of Greenland and the floodplains of Chobe, Botswana, to the high-altitude desert of Ladakh and the dry forests of Ranthambhore, India — I hope this curated selection from my 16-piece debut collection offers you a glimpse into the awe of the natural world I experienced in the moment. Also, I hope it fosters greater appreciation and care for these important spaces.
One of the most remote fjord systems on earth, where polar bears are hunted by local communities and are not easily seen. On our first zodiac outing from the expedition vessel, in the fading evening light, this bear rolled lazily atop its perch - completely unbothered and sovereign. We never saw another one for the rest of our expedition.

Photographing elephants at the river's edge against the setting sun in Chobe is one of the reasons you get on boat safaris here — the Chobe has one of the largest elephant populations on earth, and the light in the golden hour is extraordinary. This one raised its trunk just as it waded in creating one of my most memorable frames from Botswana.

At sunset, the last light caught the red sandstone cliffs and threw a deep amber glow across the water. The wake of our expedition vessel carved a path of rippled gold leading to that arched iceberg in the distance.

Nubra Valley in Ladakh is one of the rare places on earth where desert dunes and snow-capped mountains exist side by side. Light fades quickly at high altitude, and I had only a narrow window as these double-humped Bactrian camels, endemic to the region, formed a silhouette against the last of it.

Chobe in Botswana has one of the largest elephant populations on earth, and encounters on the ground are often closer than you expect. This tusker crossed within metres of our vehicle, close enough that a wide frame was impossible and a tight one became the only option. The black and white rendition of the close up elevates the texture and the skin signifies the elephant's years of lived experience on the land.

About the Photographer
Roshan Panjwani is a Toronto-based nature and wildlife photographer. His image King of Ice appeared on the cover of Canadian Photography (CAPA) Magazine and was featured by BBC Earth, and he is a contributing photographer to Europe’s Sea Mammals, published by Princeton University Press. His fieldwork spans the High Arctic, East and Southern Africa, the Himalayan borderlands, and the American wilderness — read more here.

Printing & Framing
Each work is printed and framed by Total Image Works in Toronto — a Hahnemühle-certified studio, and the lab I’ve worked with on this collection from the first test prints through final production. The papers are Hahnemühle — made at a mill certified to ISO 14001 for environmental management and working toward climate-neutral production by 2030. Chosen as much for their sustainability credentials as for their quality.
The Print
Hahnemühle 300+ gsm, 100% cotton paper — acid- and lignin-free, calcium carbonate buffered. The buffer is an alkaline reserve that resists the acid migration that yellows paper over time. Printed with pigment inks.
The Mat
A 3″ museum-grade 100% cotton rag mat surrounds the print and holds it clear of the glass.
The Glazing
Art Glass — anti-reflective, blocking 70% of UV. Chosen for clarity and true colour; it keeps glare off, especially in the shadows. Museum-grade UV glazing (98%+) available on request.
The Frame
